Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis: My First Podcast Interview With Wardee at GNOWFLINS

Before and After GF and GAPS PostFor those interested in hearing me talk about my healing journey, I was a guest on the “Know Your Food” podcast with Wardee Harmon this week! Wardee and I have known each other for a few years while I was seeking wellness through natural remedies and nutrient dense food which I learned to make through her fabulous online classes. She was there when I went through my mercury poisoning at the beginning of my GAPS Diet journey and has continued to be a huge support through the many months of my healing through gluten-free, amalgam removal, GAPS Diet Intro and the Full GAPS Diet, to now the fine tuning of my diet for further healing. Her support has been invaluable as well as other members in her classes who offered support through her private class forums.

Now she interviews me in person as I talk about the challenges I have faced and the lessons I have learned when attempting to use food for healing. We also discuss the many resources to health I used along the way and continue to use as I fine tune my healing diet as well as other lifestyle interventions mainly as outlined in Izabella Wentz’ book, “Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis: Lifestyle Interventions for Finding and Treating the Root Cause” (also available in eBook form).

Wardee’s podcast is one I frequently listen to when able to concentrate on food preparation techniques, long term food storage ideas, and listening to her guests who share their real food journeys.

So here’s my first podcast (I was quite frustrated in that I wanted to fit other things in but found that you just can’t talk about 50 years of experience in one hour)!

KYF #051: Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis with Maureen Valdivia

Thank you Wardee and your fabulous resource of GNOWFLINS.COM for finding my journey interesting enough for an interview and the privilege I had to get the message out that Hashimoto’s can be controlled to a large degree through healing foods and lifestyle interventions.
