I have to confess, I’ve never been one to trust herbal remedies for something as complicated as this disease, but recently my research has been promising.     Just one more comment to share, about herbal and nutritional support.
    If you have Hashi’s, be very careful with bladderwrack (kelp). The idodine in it, while helpful for those with idodine insufficiency, is like throwing gas on a fire for Hashi’s folk.
    An iodine suppplement – brown seaweed extract – combined with stress, menopause and a viral trigger seems to have precipitated my diagnosis for HT. Just be careful with iodine, is all. And if you ignore that advice, just be hyperattentive to any shifts toward the, well, hyper.
